255 – ‘Abd Allāh narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn al-Miqdām Abū al-Ash‘ath narrated to me, saying: Mu‘tamir—meaning Ibn Sulaymān—narrated to us, saying: I heard my father say: Qatādah narrated to us, from Abū Ghallāb, from one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Abū Bakr, and ‘Uthmān were upon Uhud when it shook beneath them—or he said: moved beneath them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Be still, Uhud! Upon you are a prophet, a man of utmost truthfulness, and two martyrs.”
