25 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: Abū Muʿāwiya narrated to us, saying: al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from Abū Sālih, from Abū Hurayra, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“No wealth has ever benefited me as much as the wealth of Abū Bakr.”

Abū Bakr wept and said, “Are not I and my wealth entirely yours, O Messenger of Allah?”

26 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, saying: Abū ʿAbd al-Rahmān Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr and Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shayba narrated to me, both saying: Abū Muʿāwiya narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Sālih, from Abū Hurayra, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said—he then related the same report, but did not mention, “Abū Bakr wept.”
