213 - ‘Abdullāh narrated to us, saying: Mansūr ibn Abī Muzāhim narrated to me, saying: Abū Uways ‘Abdullāh ibn Uways narrated to us (he said: I heard him during the caliphate of al-Mahdī), from al-Zuhrī, who said: Humayd ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmān informed me that Abū Hurayra used to narrate that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Whoever spends two of anything in Allah’s cause will be called in Paradise: ‘O servant of Allah, here is good, so come!’ Those devoted to prayer will be called through the Gate of Prayer; those devoted to jihad will be called through the Gate of Jihad; those devoted to charity will be called through the Gate of Charity; and those devoted to fasting will be called through the Gate of Fasting, al-Rayyān.”
Abū Bakr said: “May my father and mother be sacrificed for you! Anyone called through those gates will face no hardship. But will anyone be called through all of them?”
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Yes, and I hope that you will be among them.”
