203 - ‘Abdullāh narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: Wakī‘ narrated to us, saying: Abū al-‘Umays narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Mulaykah, from ‘Ā’ishah, who said:

“The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away without appointing anyone as his successor. Had he appointed anyone, he would have appointed Abū Bakr or ‘Umar.”
