198 - ‘Abdullāh narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Sabbāh al-Bazzāz narrated to us, saying: Ismā‘īl ibn Zakariyyā, known as al-Khulqānī, narrated to us, from Sālim al-An‘amī, from Abū al-‘Alā’, who said: ‘Amr ibn Harim al-Azdī narrated to us, from Rib‘ī ibn Hirāsh and from Abū ‘Abdullāh, that they both heard Hudhayfah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“I do not know how long I will remain among you, so follow those who come after me—meaning Abū Bakr and ‘Umar—and follow ‘Ammār’s guidance and Ibn Umm ‘Abd’s covenant.”
