157 - ‘Abd Allāh narrated to us: My father narrated to me: ‘Abd al-Razzāq narrated to us: Sufyān informed us, from al-A‘mash, from ‘Abd Allāh ibn Murra, from Abū al-Ahwas, who said: ‘Abd Allāh said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“I renounce every bond of intimate friendship. Were I to take anyone as an intimate friend, I would take Ibn Abī Quhāfa as an intimate friend. Indeed, your companion is Allah’s intimate friend.”
