152 - ‘Abd Allāh narrated to us: Abū Sa‘īd al-Ashajj, ‘Abd Allāh ibn Sa‘īd al-Kindī, narrated to me: Talīd ibn Sulaymān narrated to us, from Abū al-Jahhāf, from ‘Atiyyah, from Abū Sa‘īd, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Every prophet has two aides from among the inhabitants of heaven and two aides from among the inhabitants of earth. My two aides from among the inhabitants of heaven are Gabriel and Michael, peace be upon them both, and my two aides from among the inhabitants of earth are Abū Bakr and ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both.”

153 - ‘Abd Allāh narrated to us: My father narrated it to me: Talīd narrated to us, from Abū al-Jahhāf, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Allah never sent a prophet without giving him two aides.”

He then related the same account, but did not transmit it through ‘Atiyyah or Abū Sa‘īd.

١٥٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ قثنا تَلِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَحَّافِ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا وَلَهُ وَزِيرَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ، وَوَزِيرَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ، فَأَمَّا وَزِيرَايَ مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ فَجِبْرِيلُ وَمِيكَائِيلُ ﵉، وَأَمَّا وَزِيرَايَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ فَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ﵄» . ١٥٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبِي، قثنا تَلِيدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَحَّافِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ وَزِيرَانِ» ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ وَلَمْ يُسْنِدْهُ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، وَلَا أَبِي سَعِيدٍ.
