139 - Al-Hasan ibn al-Tayyib al-Balkhī narrated to us: Ja‘far ibn Humayd al-Qurashī narrated to us: Yūnus ibn Abī Ya‘fūr narrated to us, from ‘Awn ibn Abī Juhayfah, from his father, who said:

I heard ‘Alī proclaim from this pulpit of yours, “Shall I tell you who is the best of this community after the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?” He said, “Abū Bakr, and second is ‘Umar. If I wished, I could name the third.” May Allah be pleased with them all.
