135 - Ahmad narrated to us: Wahb ibn Baqiyyah al-Wāsitī narrated to us: ‘Abdullāh ibn Sufyān al-Wāsitī narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Atā’, from Abū al-Dardā’, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me walking ahead of Abū Bakr and said:

“O Abū al-Dardā’, are you walking ahead of someone who is better than you in this world and the Hereafter? Apart from the prophets and messengers, the sun has never risen or set upon anyone more virtuous than Abū Bakr.”
