129 - Abū al-‘Abbās al-Fadl ibn Sālih al-Hāshimī narrated to us in Jumādā of the year 299 AH: Hadiyya ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhāb narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Kathīr narrated to us: al-Awzā‘ī narrated to us, from Qatāda, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said:
Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting when Abū Bakr and ‘Umar approached. Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “These two are the leaders of the middle-aged men among the people of Paradise, from the earliest generations to the last, except for the prophets and messengers.”
١٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، فِي جُمَادَى سَنَةَ تِسْعٍ وَتِسْعِينَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ، قثنا هَدِيَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ قثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَالِسًا إِذْ أَقْبَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «هَذَانِ سَيِّدَا كُهُولِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ إِلَّا النَّبِيِّينَ وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ» .
