Ahmad informed us, and Abu Bakr narrated to us.
60 – Suwayd ibn Saʿid also told me, saying: Abū al-Hasan, a man from Basra, related to me that another man had seen in his dream that Allah had forgiven all those standing at ʿArafāt except for one man from a certain district. The narrator continues: I went to their encampments and asked about them. They directed me to that man’s tent, so I came to him, told him what I had seen, and said, “Inform me of your sin.” He replied, “I was a man addicted to wine. My mother used to forbid me, yet I came home one day while drunk. She confronted me, so I seized her and placed her inside the oven while it was blazing.”
