59 – Al-Qasim ibn Hashim told me: Muhammad ibn al-Humayd al-Taʾi told me: Hisham ibn al-Kalbi narrated: Al-Hakam ibn Hisham once said to a grandson of his who had begun to drink:
“My boy, beware of nabidh. It will be vomit in your mouth, filth on your seat, the prescribed punishment across your back; you will become a laughing-stock for the children and the ruler of the flies.”
