Ahmad informed us:

37 – Abu Bakr narrated to us; ‘Ali ibn al-Ja‘d narrated to us; he said: al-Rabi‘ ibn Sabīḥ informed us, from Muḥammad ibn Sīrīn, from ‘Ubaydah, who said:

“We disagreed about the ruling on nabīdh (fermented drink), so I resolved that I would not drink any of those beverages—nothing but water, honey, and milk.”
