Ahmad reported to us,
29 – Abu Bakr narrated to us; he said: ʿAli ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; he said: Hammad ibn Salamah informed me, from ʿAli ibn Zayd ibn Judʿan, from Yusuf ibn Mihran, from Ibn ʿUmar, from ʿUmar, who said: “To drink from a metal flask—burning off what is to be burned and keeping what remains—is dearer to me than to drink nabidh from a large jar.”
