Ahmad informed us,
27 – Abu Bakr narrated to us; ʿAli ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; he said: Zuhayr ibn Muʿāwiyah informed us, on the authority of Abū al-Zubayr, from Jābir, who said:
Nabidh would be prepared for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a leather waterskin; but if no waterskin was available, they would steep it for him in a stone basin. Jābir added: Some of the people then asked Abū al-Zubayr, while I was listening, “In biram (stoneware jars) as well?” He replied, “In biram.”
