98 – ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Ismaʿil al-Muqriʾ narrated to us:

“When Bishr ibn Mansur al-Salimi was at the point of death, he smiled and said, ‘Remove from my presence the one whose temptation I fear, and usher in the One whose mercy I never doubt.’”

ʿAbd Allah also informed me:

“It was said to him, ‘Make arrangements concerning the debt you owe.’ He replied, ‘I place my hope in my Lord for my sins—-not for my debts.’ When he passed away, one of his brothers settled the debt on his behalf.”
