78 – Muhammad ibn Bashir narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, who said:
“I came to Sufyan on the afternoon of ʿArafah while he was kneeling on his knees, tears flowing from his eyes. I, too, began to weep. He turned toward me and asked, ‘What is the matter with you?’ I replied, ‘Who is the worst-off among this multitude?’ He answered, ‘The one who imagines that Allah will not forgive them.’”
