71 – Ibrāhīm ibn Rāshid narrated to me; Abū Rabīʿah narrated to us; Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thābit and Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī, from Anas ibn Mālik, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Some will emerge from the Fire—Abū ʿImrān said, ‘Four,’ while Thābit said, ‘Two men.’ They will then be brought before their Lord, Who will command that they be returned to the Fire. One of them will look back and say, ‘My Lord, I had hoped that when You brought me out of it You would not send me back into it.’ Thereupon Allah will deliver him from it.”
