61 – Saʿīd ibn Muḥammad al-Jarmī narrated to us; Abū ʿUbaydah al-Ḥaddād narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn Thābit al-Bunānī, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Nawfal, from his father, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbbās, said:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Pulpits of gold will be set up for the prophets, and they will sit upon them, while my pulpit will remain—yet I shall not sit on it. I will be standing before my Lord on behalf of my community, fearing that He might send me into Paradise while my community is left behind. So I will say, ‘My Lord, hasten their reckoning!’ They will then be summoned and called to account. Some of them will enter Paradise by Allah’s mercy, and others will enter Paradise through my intercession. I shall go on interceding until scrolls are handed to me for men who had already been sent to the Fire, to the point that Mālik, the keeper of Hell, will say: ‘O Muhammad, you have left nothing for the Fire of your Lord’s wrath against your community.’”
