57 – Suwayd ibn Saʿīd narrated to us; Suwayd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz narrated to us; from Thābit ibn ʿAjlān, who said: Sulaim ibn ʿĀmir Abū ʿĀmir narrated to me; he said: I heard Abū Hurayrah, while he was standing by the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, say:

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once stood among us on a day like this, in this very month, and said: ‘People, entertain good thoughts about the Lord of the Worlds, for the Lord deals with His servant according to the servant’s expectation of Him.’”
