53 – Muhammad ibn al-Husayn related to me; Rawh ibn Salamah al-Warraq related to me; Saʿid ibn Thaʿlabah al-Warraq related to me, who said: “We spent a night with a devout worshiper on the shoreline at Siraf. He began to weep, and he kept weeping without uttering a single word until we feared the break of dawn. Then he said, ‘My sin is immense, yet Your pardon is vast; so unite my sin with Your pardon, O Most Generous One.’ At that, people burst into cries from every direction.”
