26 – Abū Jaʿfar al-Muʾaddib, Aḥmad ibn Bishr ibn al-Ḥārith, narrated to us at the funeral of Bishr ibn al-Ḥārith—may Allah have mercy on him—saying: ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Mubārak related to us, who said: One of the devout worshippers declared, “When I realized that my Lord would personally conduct my reckoning, my sadness vanished; for when the Most Generous calls His servant to account, He shows him grace.”
