25 – Abū al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Sulaymān ibn Nūḥ narrated to us; from Yūnus; from al-Ḥasan, who said: “A Bedouin came to the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—and asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, who will reckon the creation on the Day of Resurrection?’ He replied, ‘Allah.’ The man exclaimed, ‘By the Lord of the Kaʿbah, then I have succeeded! For He will waive His right’—or he said, ‘then He will not take His right.’”
