138 – Saʿdawayh narrated to us, from ʿAbbād ibn al-ʿAwwām, from Sufyān al-Thawrī—may Allah have mercy on him—concerning the verse, “Indeed, he (Satan) has no authority over those who believe” (Qur’an 16:99). He said: “He has no authority to drive them into a sin that can never be forgiven.”
