Mahmūd al-Warrāq also recited to me:

Fair is my hope in the beauty of Your pardon, O Lord—
for You alone hold command over all my affairs.
I have hidden my secret from every relative and household member;
You alone have been the keeper of my confidences.
Trusting in the veil of protection that rests with You,
do not disgrace me on the Day my record is unfurled.
On the day when every curtain is torn from the unseen realm,
let not my covering be stripped before humankind.
Teach me the plea I must make, though, O Lord,
I possess no plea and no face of excuse.
