93 – Al-Mufaḍḍal ibn Ghassān ibn Mufaḍḍal narrated to me: Abū Nuʿaym told us, saying, “I heard al-Ḥasan ibn Ḥayy remark, ‘I searched for al-waraʿ (scrupulous piety) and found it nowhere rarer than in the tongue.’”
٩٣ - حَدَّثَنِي الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ غَسَّانَ بْنِ مُفَضَّلٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ حَيٍّ يَقُولُ: «فَتَّشْتُ عَنِ الْوَرِعِ، فَلَمْ أَجِدْهُ فِي شَيْءٍ أَقَلَّ مِنْهُ فِي اللِّسَانِ»
