91 – ʿImrān ibn Mūsā al-Baṣrī narrated to me, saying: Ḥammād ibn Zayd told us, from Abū al-Ṣahbāʾ, from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī—I think he traced it back to the Prophet—who said: “When the son of Adam enters the morning, all the limbs defer to the tongue and say, ‘Fear Allah with regard to us, for if you remain straight, we shall remain straight, and if you go astray, we shall go astray.’”
