9 – Muhammad ibn Qudāmah al-Jawharī narrated to me, from a shaykh who related the following: A man once said to David, “Give me some advice.” He replied, “See to it that Allah never finds you where He has forbidden you to be, and that He never fails to find you where He has commanded you to be.”
