76 – Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us: al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi‘ reported from Yahya ibn Yaman, who said, “I was with Sufyan al-Thawri when he noticed a house, and I lifted my head to gaze at it. Sufyan said, ‘Do not look at it; it was only built so that people like you would stare at it.’”
٧٦ - حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَمَانٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ فَرَأَى دَارًا فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا. فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ: «لَا تَنْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا؛ فَإِنَّمَا بُنِيَتْ لِكَيْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهَا مِثْلُكَ»
