69 – ʿAlī ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us, saying: Sharik informed us, from Abū Rabīʿah al-Iyādī, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to ʿAlī: “Do not follow one glance with another; you are allowed the first, but the second is not permissible for you.”
