6 – Al-Muthannā ibn Muʿādh narrated to us, from Muʿādh al-ʿAnbarī, who said: Muʿtamir ibn Sulaymān informed us, from ʿAlī ibn Zayd, who said: ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz delivered a sermon to us at Khunāsirah and declared, “In my view, the finest worship is to avoid what is forbidden and to fulfill the obligatory duties.”
