56 – Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿīd narrated to me, saying: Abu al-Jawwāb narrated to us, from ʿAmmār ibn Ruzayq, from Khālid ibn Abī Karīmah, from Abū Jaʿfar al-Madāʾinī, who said: “An act whose reward you are confident of is better than burdening yourself with something whose sin you cannot be sure of. Halting at the point of doubtful matters is better than plunging into ruin.”
