225 – Yaḥyā ibn Jaʿfar related to us; he said: Yazīd ibn Hārūn informed us; he said: Quraysh ibn Ḥayyān al-ʿIjlī informed us, from Maymūna bint Madhʿūr, who said:
Muwarriq al-ʿIjlī once stayed with a young servant of his wife named Saghdī. The boy brought him some eggs he had boiled in a copper pot. Muwarriq asked, “Saghdī, where did you get this pot?” He answered, “It is property being held with me as collateral.” Muwarriq responded, “Then take your eggs away from me,” and he refused to eat, disliking the use of an item that had been pledged.
