207 – Muḥammad ibn Hārūn narrated to us; he said: Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Farrāʾ narrated to us, from Yūsuf ibn Asbāṭ, who said: Tāwūs once passed by a river for which a governmental levy had been imposed. When his mule wished to drink from it, he refused to let it do so—meaning, because the waterway was subject to the sultan’s toll.
