- Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to me; Saʿd ibn Ibrahim ibn Saʿd informed us, saying: My father related: “I was together with Sufyan al-Thawri in al-Masjid al-Haram. He scooped up a little mound of pebbles and leaned back against it, then said, ‘Abu Ishaq, this is better than all their land.’”
٢٠٢ - حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَنَا وَسُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ قَالَ: «فَكَوَّمَ كَوْمَةً مِنْ حَصْبَاءَ، ثُمَّ اتَّكَأَ عَلَيْهَا» ثُمَّ قَالَ: «يَا أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ هَذَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَرَضِهِمْ»
