- Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn related to me, saying: al-Ḥasan ibn al-Rabīʿ related to us; Abū al-Aḥwaṣ said: “Yūsuf ibn Asbāṭ and I went to visit Sumayr Abū ʿĀṣim. He came out to us with traces of food still on his hand and said, ‘Had this not been food that I owe to someone, I would have asked both of you to come in and enjoy it.’”
١٩٦ - حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ قَالَ: انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَيُوسُفُ بْنُ أَسْبَاطٍ إِلَى سُمَيْرٍ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ قَالَ: " فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا وَعَلَى يَدِهِ أَثَرُ طَعَامٍ قَالَ: فَقَالَ: «لَوْلَا أَنَّهُ لَدَيْنٌ لَقُلْتُ لَكُمَا أَنْ تَدْخُلَا فَتُصِيبَا مِنْهُ»
