173 – Suwayd ibn Saʿīd narrated to us; he said: Baqiyyah narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from Hāshim al-Awqaṣ, from Ibn ʿUmar, who said: “Whoever buys a garment for ten dirhams and one dirham of its price is unlawful, Allah will not accept any prayer he performs while he is wearing it.” He then placed his two fingers in his ears and said, “Let them become deaf if I did not hear this from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.”
