157 – Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, saying: Muʿammal related to me; he said: Our companions informed us that a gold dinar slipped from Kahmas’s hand. He stood up to retrieve it, and someone asked, “What are you seeking, Abu ʿAbd Allah?” He replied, “A dinar that fell from me.” They brought a sieve, sifted the soil, and uncovered a dinar, but he refused to take it and said, “Perhaps it is not mine.”
