Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us that Waki‘ reported to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Amr ibn Qays al-Mula’i, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The merit of knowledge surpasses the merit of worship, and the linchpin of your religion is scrupulous piety.”
