24 – Abu ‘Abd Allah Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, from Bishr ibn Salm al-Kufi, from Mis‘ar, from Bukayr—or Abu Bukayr—from Ibrahim al-Taymi, who said:

“Anyone who never experiences grief should worry that he may not belong to the people of Paradise, for they will say, ‘All praise is due to Allah, who has removed sorrow from us’ (Qur’an 35:34). And anyone who never feels a tremor of fearful awe should likewise worry that he may not be among the people of Paradise, for they will say, ‘We used to be, while among our families, ever apprehensive’ (Qur’an 52:26).”
