175 – Abū Ḥātim al-Rāzī narrated to me; he said: Muḥammad ibn al-Haytham narrated to us, from ʿAbāyah ibn Kulayb, from a man known as Abū Ḥafṣ, who said:
Al-Ḥasan spent the wedding night of his son, and people kept coming in to congratulate him. An elderly woman named Barzah entered while he was in tears. She said, “Abū Saʿīd, this is a day of joy and happiness!” He replied, “Alas, Barzah! Every sorrow will fade on the Day of Resurrection—except the sorrow for one’s sins.”
١٧٥ - حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَاتِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُكَنَّى أَبَا حَفْصٍ، قَالَ: عَرَّسَ الْحَسَنُ عَلَى ابْنِهِ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْهِ يُهَنِّئُونَهُ، فَدَخَلَتْ عَجُوزٌ يُقَالُ لَهَا: بَرْزَةُ، وَدَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَبْكِي، فَقَالَتْ: يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ، هَذَا يَوْمُ فَرَحٍ وَسُرُورٍ قَالَ: «وَيْحِي يَا بَرْزَةُ، كُلُّ حُزْنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَبْلَى إِلَّا حُزْنَ الذُّنُوبِ»
