153 – Khalid ibn Khidash narrated to us; ‘Abd Allah ibn Wahb narrated to us; he said: Bakr ibn Mudar informed me:
“Abu al-Haytham had already lost a child, and the little boy who remained to him also died. His companions came to console him, and they found him in a corner of the mosque, dejected and sorrowful. He said, ‘The grief I feel about the Day of Resurrection leaves me no room to mourn what has slipped away from me in this world, nor to rejoice over what has come to me.’”
