131 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; some of our companions related to me, from al-Ḥusayn ibn Wāqid al-Ḥanafī, from Burd, from Makḥūl, who said:

Allah revealed to Moses—peace be upon him—saying: “Wash your heart.” He asked, “My Lord, with what shall I wash it?” Allah answered, “With grief and anxious concern.”
