11 – Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Fazārī related to me; he said: al-Ḥasan once heard a man cry, “Alas—grief upon grief!” So al-Ḥasan said to him, “Good sir, would you not rather grieve over what Allah’s prior knowledge has already decreed concerning you?”
