10 – Ahmad ibn al-‘Abbās al-Numayrī narrated to me; he said: Muhammad ibn Ṭufayl narrated to me; he said: Fudayl ibn ‘Iyāḍ said: “Your delight in this world for the world’s sake strips worship of its sweetness, and your anxiety over this world sweeps worship away altogether.”
