104 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; he said that ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to me, from ʿAlī ibn Thābit, from Sufyān al-Thawrī, who said: al-Ḥasan used to say, “The most excellent act of worship is prolonged sorrow.”
