- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Fudayl ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab conveyed it from Hushaym, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, concerning the verse, “And his eyes turned white from grief, and he was suppressing [his sorrow]” (Qur’an 12:84). He said: “kamīd (inwardly choked with grief).”
٨٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ، عَنْ جُوَيْبِرَ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، " ﴿وَابْيَضَّتْ عَيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْحُزْنِ فَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ﴾ [يوسف: ٨٤] قَالَ: كَمِيدٌ "
