90 – Ahmad ibn Jamil narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Mubarak reported to us; Maʿmar reported, from Ibn Shihab, who said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Hazm related to me, from ʿUrwa, from ʿAʾisha, who said:
A woman entered my house with her two daughters, asking for charity. I could find nothing with me except a single date, so I gave it to her. She split it between her two daughters and did not eat any of it herself. Then she rose and left. Later, the Prophet ﷺ came in, and I informed him of what had happened. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever is tested with any of these daughters, they will become a shield for him against the Fire.”
