Al-Nafaqa 'ala al-'IyalIbn Abi al-Dunya

87 – ʿUbayd Allah ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; Muʿtamar ibn Sulaymān al-Taymī narrated to us, from his father, from Hanash, from ʿIkrima, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: “Whoever supports three daughters—seeing to their marriages, spending on them, and teaching them proper manners—shall enter Paradise.” A Bedouin asked, “Messenger of Allah, what about two?” He replied, “Even two.” Ibn ʿAbbās remarked, “By Allah, this is among the finest and most splendid of hadiths.”
