82 – Haytham ibn Kharijah narrated to us; Ismaʿil ibn ʿAyyash narrated to us, from Thabit ibn al-ʿAjlan, from Mujahid, from Asmaʾ bint Yazid, who said: The Prophet ﷺ said, “The ʿaqiqah (newborn sacrifice) for a male child is two equivalent sheep, and for a female child one sheep.”
